YouTube Shorts
YouTube’s vertical short videos, up to 3 minutes long, watched in a swipeable feed on phones.
Shorts are vertical or square videos of up to 3 minutes. They are found mostly in the Shorts feed, where people swipe from one to the next, so the first second decides whether a video is watched.
Shorts views count toward the Partner Program through their own path: 10 million valid public Shorts views in 90 days, with 1,000 subscribers.
From February 1, 2027, that path becomes 20 million Shorts views in 90 days, and earning from Shorts in any month takes 10 million Shorts views in the last 90 days.
